Digital rehabilitation

Digital solutions can provide individual and effective rehabilitation to the rehabilitee directly, or through their close network or other healthcare professionals. Digital rehabilitation can be introduced either by rehabilitation professionals or independently by service users. With the help of digital rehabilitation, the aim is to promote the individual's ability to function and to reduce functional limitations in relation to their living environment. Thus, digital rehabilitation is strongly linked to the empowerment of individuals and communities.

Together with companies, we develop digital rehabilitation methods and solutions designed directly to meet the needs of the rehabilitatee and their own living environment, supporting the empowerment of the rehabilitatee and strengthening their own role. We produce researched information about the acceptability, suitability and importance of digital rehabilitation solutions, especially in East Africa and Southeast Asia. Our research activities also focus on recognising and strengthening the digital competences of rehabilitation in the higher education field and increasing research data on remote rehabilitation.
