IT environment for Esport activities
The IT environment for esports includes a set of programs that allows you to save time on manual work, improve data security, and facilitate user management.
- Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences' specialist, Elmo Hämäläinen, inspects the operator's control systems that may be currently in use on the facility
- Based on the audit, recommendations are made to the operator regarding the installation, scheduling, commissioning and training for operation of the iCafeCloud and CCBootCloud systems.
- iCafe and CCBoot systems speed up e.g. considerably updates of the gaming computers and frees up the operator's efficient working time for other activities (savings approx. 50-70% / year)
- Support and installation work for the required system licenses and server machine acquisition process
- iCafeCloud: gaming facility system
- CCBootCloud: network disk system for upgrades
- Anydesk: virtual desktop control system (optional)
- Server PC
- A sufficiently fast internet connection
- Unified wired intranet, dedicated firewall and fixed IP addresses
- IT environment training for operation to responsible persons of the service subscriber
- System, computer, and game upgrade processes

- Jamk's quality guarantee and support for the implementation of systems and to ensure operational reliability (free of charge for 3 months)
Users will be given individual usernames. The system allows for setting age restrictions and provides customer information to the operator, such as the most popular games and time spent playing. Note: Hourly/monthly playtime fees can also be set for customers. The system can also be used with unlimited playtime, without creating user accounts.
It uses only a fraction of the customer computer's CPU compared to competing applications, resulting in an even better user experience and ensuring safe gaming for users. All necessary games and launchers are readily available as icons on the "desktop."
The network drive on the customer computer is wiped clean of changes upon each restart. Game-specific settings are mostly saved to the games' own cloud services. Users are also prevented from making administrative changes and accessing control settings.
Games and software are updated simultaneously on all machines from the server. This saves approximately 70% of work time annually compared to updating games one machine at a time.
