Project description
In the TATU - Safety in Central Finland's Urban Areas project, the aim is to improve the everyday safety of residents as well as their self-preparedness and skills in emergency situations. The project emphasizes cooperation and community spirit.
The main goal of the project is to increase community spirit and safety agency among residents, strengthen their knowledge and skills to improve everyday safety, and produce information on perceived safety to target development actions based on the obtained data. Information sessions, events, and workshops will be organized for residents, and support will be provided for neighborly assistance and preparedness activities carried out with resident associations and housing companies. The project will collect and produce information on residents' perceived safety to support development and produce informational materials for residents, housing companies, resident committees, resident associations, village associations, and other actors. Additionally, volunteer defibrillator groups will be established in the rural villages of Jämsä to strengthen regional equality. The primary target group of the project is residents of rural urban areas in Central Finland living in various residential communities.
The main implementer of the project is the Central Finland Heart Association.
