Project description
The purpose of the Tarvaala Smart Village project is to develop and pilot the Research Master concept for the Tarvaala Bioeconomy Campus to serve Finnish and international startups. Now, significant development potential remains untapped in Central Finland because there is no operating model for serving the RDI needs of start-ups. BioBoosters by Jamk, an ongoing bioeconomy business accelerator at Jamk University of Applied Sciences (JAMK), brings dozens of international startups to the region every year. If successful, the service model can commit these companies to the regional innovation ecosystem, thereby increasing their service purchases and RDI work in the region and promote their placement in Central Finland. In addition to the Research Master concept, the project will improve the region's international smart agriculture brand and service descriptions.
