Project
Supporting the child – support person and support family practice in child and family social work
LATU research project focuses on analysing two different but widely used interventions in child and family social work: support persons and support families (contact persons and contact families). The focus is on services where support persons and families act as volunteers (providing lay support).
The aims of the LATU research project are to 1) collect national data; 2) co-research with children the quality of supporting relations between children and voluteers, and 3) co-develop a tool with children, their parents, volunteers and professionals (e.g. social workers) for evaluating the outcomes of the services (experienced impact).
