Project
Smooth Hybrid and Online Working for VET (SHOW-VET)
Project sponsors
The need to provide online and hybrid learning possibilities at VET
institutions has increased. However, not all teachers have the
competences and skills to deliver quality learning opportunities in
digital learning environments. Teachers need training and new tools as
well as a peer network of trained mentors to support their work. The aim
of this project is to provide a model for Smooth Online Working for VET
providers (SHOW-VET) and by doing so improve capacities of teachers to
implement online, blended and hybrid teaching and learning.
The SHOW-VET -project aims to:
- Improve and increase know-how on e-learning among teachers and trainers
- Increase teachers' knowledge on implementation of blended, online and hybrid teaching
- Improve digital skills and competences of teachers in blended, online and hybrid teaching
- Produce a Smooth Online Guide for teachers with pedagogical methods
- Make teachers' training material on blended, online and hybrid online teaching
- Train mentors and teachers on blended, online and hybrid teaching
- Produce new e-learning materials for blended, online and hybrid teaching
Partner
VET schools of the project have identified the need to develop
their teachers' digi-pedagogical skills. Teachers are highly skilled
professionals in VET schools, but might have difficulties in utilizing
new digital tools and implementing online lessons. The VET partner
schools have chosen study fields on which they wish to develop their
teachers' digital skills and e-learning materials:
- Digital and Beauty & Wellness - Apro Formazione, Italy
- Business and Chemistry - GENCAT, Spain
- Nature Guidance and Animal Care - Kpedu, Finland
- Healthcare and Special programs for adults - Roc Friese Poort, the Netherlands
- Tourism and Mechanical Engineering and Production Technology - Sedu, Finland
With
the support of the present project and its expert network of different
organizations, the VET providers participating in the project will
strengthen their capacities and acquire skills also required in blended
and hybrid teaching and learning.
Target groups of this project
are teachers, students, VET providers and other stakeholders such as
local companies. This project meets the needs of these target groups by
developing VET teachers' competence in delivering quality online
teaching and learning and increasing their skills on making quality
e-learning materials.
The project will be implemented from February 2022 to February 2024 with the support of EU's Erasmus + funding.
