Project description
Background to the project
Information on research, development and innovation in rehabilitation is fragmented and difficult to find. Knowledge is not being disseminated and there is duplication of effort among RDI actors.
Objectives of the project
The KuDiHub project aims to develop an interactive and information-integrating platform that brings together rehabilitation-related information from different channels for easy access and use by different stakeholders. The project also aims to build a collaborative model and to develop different functionalities for the platform that will enable different organisations to produce, process and use the material on the platform in a flexible way.
The future of rehabilitation can be seen in the development of a stronger RDI network, which will enable not only the strengthening of the role of rehabilitation experts, but also the participation of rehabilitation patients and their approaches in rehabilitation RDI activities. This will ensure the applicability of research findings to the everyday needs of both working life and rehabilitation practitioners.
The renewing ecosystem that is developing on the platform will increase the competence of rehabilitation actors and bodies, as well as the opportunities for rehabilitation companies to use the growing amount of knowledge and research results more effectively to develop their own operations. The collaborative network is expected to expand to a national level and the knowledge produced will be implemented through pilot projects. The platform will also produce content in English and international rehabilitation networks will be used in its development.
Project promoters and cooperation networks
The project is coordinated by the Institute of Rehabilitation at Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences. Sub-implementers are Metropolia University of Applied Sciences and the Faculty of Exercise and Sport Sciences of the University of Jyväskylä.
The project is implemented in cooperation between three national networks in the field of rehabilitation. These include the national Rehabilitation Competence Centre (OsKu), the Multidisciplinary Rehabilitation Network of Universities (MOKUVE) and the Virtual Rehabilitation Network.
This national cooperation will enable the model to be widely used by rehabilitation practitioners already during the project.
Companies involved in the project
Entrepreneur, welcome to join the project!
Companies are involved in the project as developer partners, participating in the project workshops and piloting, for example by sharing ideas and giving feedback on the digital collaboration platform being developed.
The target groups of the project are rehabilitation education, staff and students of organisations involved in research, development and innovation. The target group also includes private and public sector actors providing and developing rehabilitation services. A secondary target group is policy makers at both regional and national level.
