International Cooperation Framework for Next Generation Engineering Students
Project sponsors
International Cooperation Framework for Next Generation Engineering Students
(NextGEng) project, the aim of an international consortium is to upgrade the
teaching and learning processes in close collaboration with companies. To
achieve that end, the NextGEng project is based on three lines of action:
tailored training process, upgrading of certain courses, and carrying out cases
for experiential learning.
In view of
previous successful cooperation between partners, with useful pedagogical
outputs and results, the NextGEng project represents a safe and feasible
opportunity to foster the transformation of engineering degrees in line with
the aims of the EEA (European Education Area 2025). The NextGEng project helps
for its own part to update courses to the changing environment, which demands
interdisciplinary, inclusive, cooperative, and digital capacities from
students, to quickly adapt to the labor market.
Jamk,
especially the Industrial Engineering department, already has good and many
years of project cooperation with the University of Jaen in Spain and the
Technical University of Cluj Napoca in Romania. We know each other's strengths
and development needs. Partner HEIs have very active and many levels of
cooperation with the full company partners in their home countries. Through
this project, all partners want to deepen and enlarge cooperation between partner
HEIs and companies. In the NextGEng project, we are together improving the
competencies of educators, promoting inter-connected higher education systems, and stimulating innovative learning and teaching practices.
