Project description
The aim of the project is to improve the cost and resource efficiency of the biogas sector and regional production. The project pilots technologies to increase the processing rate of biogas and production side streams and assess the profitability of piloted technologies in different operating and market environments. The technologies piloted include hydrogen caneing of rotting, the production of carbon dioxide from biogas production, the use of a membrane contactor to separate the methanum and carbon dioxide, and the efficiency of the liquid solid difference in the residue.
The Bioeconomy Institute of JAMK University of Applied Sciences is primarily responsible for purchasing and operating a biogas reactor. Hydrogen is fed into the reactor for in situ methanation tests, the effect of which is monitored on the amount of biomethane formed.
Hanke rahoitetaan REACT-EU-välineen määrärahoista osana Euroopan unionin COVID-19-pandemian johdosta toteuttamia toimia.
Project is funded with React-EU funds, as part of EU's Covid-19 response.
