Today's world relies strongly on digital services and information. We want to offer our customers real value by being at the forefront of technological development, and by speeding up this development and the preparedness for modern cyber threats.

We reinforce a credible and reliable image of strong Finnish cyber security expertise. We create, maintain, and manage up-to-date and objective cyber security information. We promote national and international networking with professionals in the field, creating new forms of cooperation and operating models. The Cyber Security Research, Development, and Training Centre JYVSECTEC (Jyväskylä Security Technology, https://www.jyvsectec.fi) is part of our service and RDI activities.

We produce cyber security solutions and training for various sectors at an internationally high standard. We produce ready-made competence development entities and training entities tailored to customer needs. Our top-level services include the organisation of technical and technical-functional cyber exercises, high-quality and up-to-date training, including extensive and diverse practical exercises as part of the RGCE operating environment (Realistic Global Cyber Environment, https://jyvsectec.fi/rgce), information security testing, as well as comprehensive research and development cooperation. We also maintain the FINCSC cyber security certificate system (www.fincsc.fi).

The competence areas of our multidisciplinary network of experts specialising in cyber security include cyber security controls, security of organisational environments, cyber incident management, Incident Response action, information security testing, threat modelling, secure application development, and other systems and architectures related to IT infrastructures.

We have strong experience in implementing national and international projects over several years. Cyber security threats and the means to protect against them are at the centre of the cyber security research we apply. Research is carried out from a number of perspectives and considering the needs of various sectors. Of additional interest is the development of comprehensive preparedness of organisations and/or sectors against digital threats.

We are striving to strengthen our position by increasing international project activities in trans-European projects. Global cooperation and networking with operators in the field is one of our objectives.

JAMK Open University of Applied Sciences offers various cyber security training from individual courses to larger modules. For example, we offer advanced studies on cyber security and data analytics.
