Jamk University of Applied Sciences Summer School, Smart Bioeconomy Bootcamp (3 ECTS), offers an opportunity to delve into the world of smart bioeconomy and sustainable food production. Smart bioeconomy refers to production that utilises renewable materials from nature, such as plants, animals and waste, and develops new innovations and technologies to make use of these materials. The bioeconomy can address the challenges of sustainable development with practical and innovative tools.
The Bootcamp is designed for forward-thinking students as well as young entrepreneurs or those interested in entrepreneurship, who work in the fields of smart farming, agrotechnology, or bioeconomy.
The Smart Bioeconomy Bootcamp will be delivered in English as a combination of one online meeting in August and an intensive study week at Jamk's Main Campus in Jyväskylä and at Saarijärvi Bioeconomy Campus from 27 August to 3 September 2025. The participation fee is €450 for one week for students from Jamk's partner institutions abroad. For students from non-partner institutions, the administration fee is €620 for one week. There are no prerequisites for the Smart Bioeconomy Bootcamp.
