At Jamk’s School of Professional Teacher Education students are equipped with theoretical and practical knowledge to form a solid pedagogical foundation to become a competent digital educator. This includes, for example, implementation of different digital technologies and methods, such as hybrid-learning. The programme is designed for adult students, who learn about pedagogical approaches and methods, as well as guidance skills that are invaluable in various working environments.
Applicants must have a suitable higher-education degree and at least three years' work experience corresponding to the content of their degree. The programme usually takes about 1,5 years to complete, most of the students will complete the programme while working full time.
In the internationally oriented, multicultural study group the language of the studies is English. The group is primarily recommended for those whose mother tongue is not Finnish but is open to anyone who wants to increase their international skills. The programme consists of working in peer learning groups, hybrid learning sessions, self-directed learning, and practical training.
