The Theory-Practice Balance in Teacher Education -project "TEPATE" focuses on enhancing the theory-practice balance of teacher education in Mozambican higher education institutions. The project aims to develop that teachers will graduate with improved pedagogical skills to apply learner-centred pedagogy in practice.
The TEPATE project started in 2020, and it is being implemented by Jamk University of Applied Sciences, Pedagogical University of Maputo, Instituto Superior de Educação e Tecnologia - One World and University of Lapland.
The TEPATE project is implemented in The Higher Education Institutions Institutional Cooperation Instrument, HEI-ICI programme, which is funded by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland and administered by the Finnish National Agency for Education.

The project will be on display in a poster session in Africa Day 2023 event at the University of Jyväskylä.
Africa Day will be organized at the University of Jyväskylä on May 25, 2023. The theme of 2023 event is “The Year of AFCFTA Acceleration of the African Continental Free Trade Area Implementation".
