The application period begins 5 January for English Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes

Jamk University of Applied Sciences has 8500 students in 7 different fields. The degree programmes at Jamk offer professional education in an international learning environment - with students coming from all over the globe. Jamk offers seven Bachelor´s and eight Master´s Degree Programmes conducted in English. Application period is 5 – 19 January at 3PM (UTC +2:00).

The practically oriented Bachelor’s Degree Programmes offered by Jamk are International Business, Business Information Technology, Nursing, Purchasing and Logistics Engineering, Tourism Management, Information and Communication Technology and a completely new Automation and Robotics. Automation technology is a highly developing field of technology. The need for expertise in automatically operated equipment and machines, such as robots, IoT devices and machine vision, is rapidly increasing. The students of Automation and Robotics programme provides students with a strong basic competence in automation and electrical engineering and good skills for continuous professional development.

“Students will be studying in conditions similar to working life. We have modern laboratories where much of the study takes place. Several projects are currently underway with companies. Students also have the opportunity to participate in collaboration with companies. After graduating, students end up in a wide variety of positions in different industries, such as designing for building automation or developing robotics applications for a company”, says Ari Kuisma, Senior Lecturer in Jamk.

The eight English Master’s Degree Programmes offered by Jamk are Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics, Cyber Security, International Business Management, Sport Business Management, Sport and Exercise Physiotherapy, Professional Project Management, Full Stack Software Development and completely new Digital Rehabilitation.

The new programme gives students the competence and knowhow on digital rehabilitation in practice and theory, gaining the expertise and skills to act as a professional specialised in digitalisation within multidisciplinary rehabilitation.

“The student will gain a broad understanding of new types of technologies and will be able to implement innovative solutions for customer-oriented, multi-professional rehabilitation. The programme takes into account the special features of digital interaction, the themes of digital value, information security and ethical aspects, and the practical ways to implement digital rehabilitation”, says Senior Lecturer Sanna Paasu-Hynynen from Jamk.

Finnish legislation on tuition fees obligates higher education institutions to charge tuition fees for students who are not citizens of a European Union (EU) or European Economic Area (EEA) country. The fee for Bachelor’s Degrees is 8000 € / academic year and 9000 € / academic year for Master’s Degrees. However, in the first academic year Jamk offers a scholarship that covers 50% of the tuition fee at Jamk. In the following academic years the scholarship covers 50% of the tuition fee if a student earns at least 60 credits per academic year in Bachelor's degrees (30 credits per academic year in Master's degrees). For EU and EEA citizens, tuition fees do not apply.
