Jamk is tightening its COVID-19 guidelines

Jamk University of Applied Sciences is tightening its guidelines and practices related to the COVID-19 due to the worsening corona situation. Teaching will generally continue as remote teaching until 28 February. Other restrictions will also remain in place until the end of February.

Teaching at Jamk will be held mainly as remote teaching until 28 February. Contact teaching will be possible only when it is pedagogically necessary for the progress of studies. The strong recommendation for face masks and other safety regulations and instructions related to the coronavirus apply. Students will be informed about teaching arrangements directly from their responsible teachers.

All of Jamk’s campuses still have a strong mask recommendation. FFP2-level masks are available at campus entrances.

Opening hours for the main campus on Rajakatu and Dynamo in Lutakko will be limited from 15 January until 28 February: the campuses will be open on weekdays from 7.30 am to 6 pm. On Saturdays, both the Rajakatu campus and Dynamo are closed. Group work is allowed on Jamk's campuses, taking into account the strong face mask recommendation and other safety instructions related to the coronavirus. The Library, however, is open for lending purposes only until 28 February. Up-to-date campus opening hours can be found on Jamk's website.

Student Services and International Services will only be available remotely unti 28 February. Face-to-face meetings by appointment, if necessary. See more information on Student Services and International Services.

Exercise facilities are only used in connection with degree studies, even then only in those cases where the use of the facilities is essential for the progress of studies. The gym is closed.

Examstudios are open normally. Opening hours follow the main campus (BP16), library (GP06) and Turbine opening hours (K205). Face masks must be used in Examstudios.

Remote connections are still preferred over travel. All trips abroad are made only with Rector's approval. Domestic travel should avoided also if possible.

All Jamk's events will be held online on until 28 February. Some events might be postponed or canceled.

Jamk's Corona Group monitors the development of the COVID-19 situation on a weekly basis and makes changes to the instructions if necessary.

Jamk's coronavirus instructions can be found on Jamk's website.
