As from 14th May, Jamk campuses' main doors are open at 8:00-16:00 during weekdays, except Music Campus where the renovation is still ongoing and the Institute of Bioeconomy. Contact teaching may be arranged for small groups (max 10 persons) with consideration if special teaching equipment or premises are needed (e.g. laboratories).
Exams may be arranged at campus premises as from 14th May complying with the assembly limitation of max 10 persons. As from 1st June, exams may be held to groups of max 50 persons. Also ExamStudios may be used as from 14th May, taking safe distances and hygiene into consideration.
Self-directed studying in Jamk’s premises is allowed only if it is necessary. Jamk ICT-premises and computers may be used for studying if it is not possible at home. A person who uses the common computers end equipment needs to take care of the adequate hygiene oneself.
The library of Jamk Main campus also starts lending from 14th May. The library is open at 8:00-15:00 for borrowing, but the premises may not be used for studying and working. The entrance to the building is through main door D1. Other library premises are closed.
The campus restaurants are closed till the beginning of the Autumn semester.
Remote teaching may also be continued, if necessary, during Autumn, if entry to Finland for foreign students becomes difficult or is delayed due to the corona restrictions related to international mobility.
Jamk's travel ban on travel abroad is valid until 1 September 2020. Domestic travel is also limited to only what is mandatory.
Events in Jamk have still been cancelled until the beginning of the autumn semester. The Opening Ceremony of the semester 25th August will be organised as a virtual event. The Jamk for Business client event will be postponed to December.
