Webinar: Become a master, teacher or PhD?

Have you completed or are about to complete your Bachelor's or Master's degree at Jamk? Come and hear about your opportunities for further studies at Jamk or the University of Jyväskylä! In the webinar you will hear you about study options, how and when to apply for them and possible tuition fees. You will also be able to ask questions. Information is given in both Finnish and English. The info will be held as webinar in Zoom.

The info is implemented as a bilingual webinar in the Zoom system. You will receive a Zoom address as a return mail when you register for the info.

Intructions for Zoom participation

  1. You will receive an info Zoom link to your email when you register. You can still sign up at the beginning of the info.
  2. Book a peaceful place to participate, good headphones and a internet connection. This way your participation will be smoother.
  3. Zoom opens 15 minutes before the start. Join in early so that you can, for example, test the functionality of the sounds before the start of the programme.
  4. Join Zoom by clicking on the Zoom link in your email or copy the link text into the address field of the Chrome browser.
  5. The browser suggests opening the webinar in the Zoom app or offering to download the Zoom app to your machine if it has not yet been downloaded and installed. You can download the app if you wish.
  6. You can also participate in the info through the browser. Then use the Chrome browser.
  7. If you join through a browser, after clicking on the Zoom link, look in the browser for the Join from Your Browser link and click on it. Then follow the on-screen instructions to get to the meeting.
  8. When you get inside a Zoom meeting, click the Test Speaker and Microphone link and run the audio test. Follow the on-screen instructions to test the operation of the speakers and microphone. Finally, click Join with Computer Audio.
  9. If you can't hear the sounds, check your own computer's audio settings. Often, voice challenges are helped when you leave a meeting, re-join the link, and re-take the voice test.
  10. You can write questions in the chat window during the meeting.
  11. The info will be saved and the recording will be sent to the registrants afterwards. It will also be available on the event website for two weeks.
