Our workshop was held in Bhaktapur, Nepal in the end of February 2024. There we had an opportunity to meet and interview “the Himalayan Soul”, Mr Kabindra Khadka

Mr Kabindra Khadka lives in the Dolakha, also known as Dolkha or Dholkha district where the second highest peak, Gori Sangar of the Himalayan mountain exists (also known as Gaurishankar or Gauri Shankar). Kabindra travelled two days by a bus from his village to the two-day workshop in Bhaktapur and was willing to share his thoughts on digital pedagogy.

Mr Kabindra embraces enthusiastically digital tools in his teaching practices and helps also his colleagues transforming the pedagogy towards new digital pedagogy. Also, Dr Indra Raj Upadhyaya, Deputy Director of Open and Distance Education Centre at the Tribhuvan University shared his views on Kabindra’s work in the video.

The workshop focused on the integration of ICT and 21st Century Skills in Education, which is one of the objectives in the Developing of 21st Century Skills Pedagogy for Nepal project. The topics discussed covered areas such as concepts of 21st Century Skills, digital learning materials and ways of teaching and assessing 21st Century Skills.
