Successful Mid-Conference is behind: The work towards rehabilitation for all continues.

The RADIC Mid-Conference “Enhancing access to rehabilitation via digital transformation in higher education in East Africa” was successfully held online on the 19th of September 2024. The total number of participants in the conference was 131.

During the conference, we presented the finished deliverables and the upcoming activities. The conference started with the welcome greetings given by Ms. Caroline Mumbi of Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, the leader of the Dissemination Team. After this, the project manager, Ms. Kaisa Jokinen (Jamk University of Applied Sciences), gave an overview of the RADIC project, and Dr. Nuhu Assuman (University of Rwanda) presented the Innovation Community created in Work Package 2.

After the break, Dr. Nuhu and Ms. Kaisa continued with a presentation on the results of the landscape analysis and needs assessment report. Next, Ms. Henna Pernu from Jamk University of Applied Sciences gave a presentation of the Framework for Digital Rehabilitation Competences created in Work Package 4. In addition, Ms. Pernu explained the process of renewing the curricula using the Carpe Diem method.

The final session was opened with Ms. Angela Arntz's (HS Gesundheit) presentation of the handbooks created in Work Package 3. The team from HS Gesundheit (Ms. Angela Arntz, Dr. Prof. Christian Grüneberg, and Ms. Marietta Handgraaf) introduced the participants to the contents in a dedicated workshop.
