Advanced Cyber Security Studies
The studies are intended for professionals who wish to expand their cyber security skills from a cyber defence perspective. These studies are suitable for individuals who have completed an engineering degree or a relevant higher education degree and possess the necessary knowledge and skills required for the studies. The competence module requires prior knowledge of cyber security.
In the training, you will learn how to design hardening measures for an environment based on security controls and how threat intelligence can be used to anticipate and enhance security controls related to defence. Additionally, you will study the functionalities of cyber security operations centers.
The goal of the training is to broaden the student's understanding of how to defend against attacks through environmental hardening, cyber security centers, and threat intelligence. Through data analytics, you will learn methods for handling large datasets from a cyber threat perspective and understand the importance of enriching information with external data sources.
Content of the Study Module
- Hardening, 5 ECTS credits
- Cyber Threat Intelligence and Data Analytics, 5 ECTS credits
- Incident Management, Response and SOC, 5 ECTS credits
Price of the Study Module
225 €.
If you are an unemployed jobseeker, an asylum seeker, or alumni of Jamk University of Applied Sciences 2 years after graduation, the studies are free of charge. Studies are also free for people who have fled Ukraine and are in Finland with temporary protection -status. In these cases, do not proceed to online payment.
