Policy Measures
The collection of case studies that is written up on individual companies will be reviewed and analysed as a set, so that broader patterns and issues that are evident can be identified and evaluated. Based on this evidence, policy recommendations will be prepared and presented on how to best to maximise the potential for SMEs to grow successfully. Lessons learned will cover issues from access to expertise, to finance, to facilities for testing new solutions, entry to new markets, recruitment and management of staff, dealing with customers and suppliers, and the effectiveness of supports already provided by policy measures. The conclusions will be specific to individual sectors as well as relating to cross-cutting issues such as engagement with the EIT KICs, with higher education or investors.
The evaluation of the project itself will also give rise to recommendations on how best to harness the successful features of the model more widely across Higher Education.
