Abstracts
The manuscript should be submitted in electronic form to the [email protected] email address. Please check deadlines for submitting papers stated in the beginning of this page.
The recommended length of an abstract is of about 1–2 pages. Please include all necessary source files when submitting you abstract.
By submitting a manuscript to the conference, the author/authors permits the publication of an abstract on the website under the CC BY-SA 4.0 license. Details of the Creative Commons licenses can be found from the Creative Commons webpage.
Abstract & Article Templates
Regarding layout, abstracts and articles should follow the given templates:
- LaTeX users
- The class file (cls-file) for LaTeX-users writing in English with text file (tex-file)
- FMD24 LaTeX Abstract Instructions (PDF)
- Please include all necessary source files when submitting you abstract or article.
- MS Word users
- MS Word users can use the FMD24 Abstract Instructions for MSWord template (dotx-file) for the abstracts and articles.
- Please send the finished abstract document in .doc or .docx format via email to [email protected].
Please note that these guidelines follow guidelines of the Journal of Structural Mechanics (Rakenteiden mekaniikka) for sake of easier adaptation submitting full-paper after the conference.
Call for Proposals
Mini-Symposium (MS): Mini-Symposiums typically encompass one or more conference topics (as listed). MS focuses on pioneering methods and tools of a more upstream nature.
Special Technology Sessions (STS): Special Technology Sessions are dedicated to exploring special innovative technologies with industrial significance. These sessions are typically comprised of four papers.
Host a session
Organizers of MS or STS have the autonomy to select the contributing papers for their session. We invite organizers to submit the session's title, a one-page abstract outlining the session's objectives, and working titles of the contributing papers (4-6 presentations). Please send your submission via email f[email protected] by June 14, 2024.
Your cooperation and contributions are highly appreciated.
