Leading in Cybersecurity Expertise
Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences and the University of Jyväskylä have long collaborated to enhance regional cybersecurity expertise and find sustainable solutions to cybersecurity challenges in both the public and private sectors. Cybersecurity is a crucial part of overall societal security, requiring awareness and active participation from companies, organizations, individuals, and families. It involves not just technical skills but also cooperation, vigilance, and innovation.

Focus Areas
- Education: Developing and coordinating cybersecurity education in higher education institutions and promoting cybersecurity skills at all educational levels.
- Research, Development, and Innovation: Project-based initiatives tailored to the needs of stakeholders, forming project consortia, applying for funding, and implementing R&D projects.
- Influence and Awareness: Directing R&D funding and developing national cyber resilience. Increasing cybersecurity awareness and capabilities among member organizations.

Networking and Collaboration
Our cybersecurity networks have expanded beyond national borders over the decades, participating in NATO's Cyber Coalition & Locked Shields exercises. We are also members of ECSO, FISC, and PIA ry. We contributed to Finland's cybersecurity strategy and have collaborated with the Ministry of Defense.
