ADDVA - Adding Value for Renewing Industry
A centre of excellence for renewing industry and an RDI environment is currently being constructed in Central Finland, enabling SMEs to develop their competence and digital capacity. The environment is built and developed in an entity comprising several projects.
In the ADDVA set of projects, SMEs learn to utilise robotics and modern artificial intelligence solutions in different ways, for example by means of training and testing. SMEs can come to the RDI environment to develop their competence, make new contacts and improve their business.
In the future, data and artificial intelligence enhancing its use are expected to generate between 20 and 30 per cent of the value created in more and more sectors and companies (National roadmap for the digital platform economy). The key objective of digital solutions is to improve the quality and functionality of products and services, improve their production efficiency and reduce production costs. In other words, digital solutions aim at finding added value for all productive activities. Meanwhile, added value refers to better (profit) margins and a stronger national and international market position for companies.
The set of projects is related to an ecosystem agreement between the City of Jyväskylä and the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment, whose goal is to build an ADDVA RDI environment in the region to respond to the needs of the renewing industry.
